In this role, you will report directly to the Vice President of Marketing and Communications and will be responsible for developing and overseeing the implementation marketing and communications plans for our Payer Division that speak to employers and payers and drive them into desired action. You’ll work with the sales leadership to analyze the industry, market existing products and develop new products. You will also create plans for internal and external communication strategies that are tied to our overall business goals. As Manager of Marketing and Communications, you’ll be responsible for/to:
At the direction of the VP of Marketing and Communications, create marketing plans that support sales and business goals
Conduct detailed research and analysis of existing product performance, competitor products, rates, distribution methods, etc. to effectively market the Company’s suite of products and services.
Oversee, manage and produce RFPs that the Payer Division elects to complete.
Oversee and manage of corporate product documents and marketing communications, web site content and structure, marketing events, agent incentive promotion and recognition programs, and field force training and education.
Understand the unique legal and regulatory environment of health insurance and ensure marketing strategies and materials meet requirements.
Assist Account Management/Client Experience teams with communication efforts to existing clients.
Work with the VP of marketing to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget, including managing relationship with designated marketing agencies to develop marketing initiatives and campaigns.
Manage Marketing Coordinator to execute marketing initiatives.
Make recommendations to VP of Marketing and Communications and VP of Sales around current and new initiatives to improve provider and member awareness and activation.
Stay abreast of the latest developments, best practices, and trends in marketing and communications
Some limited travel may be requested.

Manager of Marketing and Communications Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, or related field required.
Minimum five years’ progressive, successful experience in marketing, membership development/acquisition, communications, or client service role.
Two years’ experience in developing and implementing Communication strategies to health insurance agents, health insurance companies/payers or employers desired, but not required.
Exceptional inter-personal skills with a history of working with diverse clients and/or membership
Strong work ethic and attention to deadlines; ability to proof work and create high-quality, error-free deliverables
Success in managing multiple tasks and priorities
Adaptability with ability to work in ambiguity
Ability to be flexible, and open to change; must have experience working in an Agile work environment or be open to training in Agile work environment
Able to actively listen and demonstrate strong, interpersonal skills
Must be able to work independently
Possesses strong verbal, analytic, and written communication skills, and the ability to present complex information to varying levels of individuals inside and outside of the organization
Ability to interact effectively with all levels of Ascension Care Management and Ascension leadership, management, and support staff
Ability to be a proactive self-starter who understands the details within a much larger context and demonstrates good judgment
Demonstrates flexibility and the ability to respond quickly and positively to shifting demands
Ability to build alliances with various internal and external entities
Ability to work well with others in a professional, collaborative, and predictable manner
