Reporting directly to the Assistant Athletics Director for Marketing, responsibilities include, but not limited to, overseeing the implementation and execution of marketing and advertising plans for assigned Olympic Sports, oversee all community and grassroots marketing efforts to include community appearances, organize and supervise all external events, act as the liaison to the University Street Team, prospect and cultivate relationships with various community groups within the Greater Tampa Bay area, serve as the game day producer for assigned sports, assist with on-field coordination for football and basketball, assist in management of student staff, assist in coordinating marketing and special events for football and basketball and perform other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned or requested.
Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, digital media or related field, with one year of experience in related positions; or a Master’s degree in the fields listed above. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
Bachelor’s degree and two years’ experience working in college athletics. Strong working knowledge and demonstrated experience with social media. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Adobe software.
