Essential functions and responsibilities The Director of Communications and Marketing is responsible for the development and direction of communications, marketing and public relations initiatives of the Chimney Safety Institute of America including: • Strategize and manage all marketing functions of the Chimney Safety Institute of America's educational programming, implementing tactics when appropriate. • Strategize and manage all CSIA public relations functions, implementing tactics when appropriate. • Recommend and implement strategies to promote CSIA's certification and education to the industry and affiliated trades. • Manage the content and distribution of press releases promoting the CSIA credentials and the CSIA Technology Center. • Accountable for external networking with affiliated trades as outlined by the communications plan, including national, regional and community relations. • Administer CSIA website and social media accounts.
Additional responsibilities: • Researching, writing, editing and disseminating marketing and public relations materials that advance the goals of the association and coordinating the efforts of volunteers and other staff members toward the same objective. • Ensure timely dissemination of information to internal staff regarding marketing and educational programming. • Provide communications to the Association Manager and Boards regarding the performance of the department. • Develop and enforce progressive brand strategies. Responsible for the management and promotion of the annual CSIA Benefit Auction. • Other duties as assigned by the Association Manager

Ability to develop and implement marketing department budget Excellent telephone customer service skills Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite Products, including Photoshop, InDesign, and Premier Pro Experience in filming and editing promotional videos Experience developing and implementing social media ad campaigns Experience navigating and utilizing various AMS/CRMs
Education Bachelor's Degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or Public Relations 3-5 years of experience in marketing communications
