The ATL Airport District is the official destination marketing organization for the cities of College Park, East Point, Hapeville and Union City, Ga. The mission of ATL Airport District is to generate economic development for the cities of College Park, East Point, and Union City by effectively marketing the community as a preferred tourism, convention and meeting destination.
We are hiring a Communications and Event Marketing Manager/Director, who will be a key player in extending our marketing reach and ultimately, driving new business. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, writer and strategic thinker, with experience in public relations, social media, event marketing and communications.
In this role, this person will collaborate with the AAD team, key area stakeholders and partners, along with key vendors to create impactful marketing initiatives across a variety of platforms and mediums. They will also be responsible for managing and executing a variety of marketing activities, special events and projects.
Reports to: Vice President of Marketing and Technology
Collaboration on coordinated marketing and communications strategy
Direction and oversight of day-to-day marketing communications and public relations efforts as needed
Development and execution of event marketing program for AAD
Organizational marketing and communications planning and reporting
Production of collateral materials and presentations as needed
Management of community and industry partnerships, sponsorships and events as needed.
Management of and collaboration with cross-functional marketing teams as needed, including work product delivery and budget management, to produce effective materials
Development and execution of marketing and communications processes and functions with AAD team
Assist with marketing budgetary planning and management as needed
Administration of AAD CRM system as needed
Collaboration on AAD events, both internal and external
Bachelor’s degree with 5-7 years of marketing experience, including communications and event marketing experience
Strong knowledge and understanding of current trends in digital and social media, public relations and event marketing
Strong knowledge and understanding of the hospitality industry; destination marketing experience a plus
Strong writing, editing, proofreading and visual communications skills
