The Head of Marketing, Europe is a senior role within the Marketing and Communications Team, responsible for:
·Defining Marketing and Corporate Communication strategy with Management; ·Developing an annual marketing plan in conjunction with the regional sales teams; ·Creating and implementing plans to increase market share; ·Developing a proactive approach to marketing communications; ·Identifying new initiatives and/or opportunities to support growth in new business; ·Developing a strategic and proactive approach to external and internal communications; · ·Ensuring the development and placement of corporate and tactical in-country messages; ·Ensuring proactive management of corporate reputation and public relations in line with the strategic goals with key external and internal stakeholders; ·Developing compelling news and opinion-driven content and creative messaging to support building the brand, reputation and marketing communications - you will engage audiences through compelling content: stories, opinion, news and views for print, broadcast and online media and through digital channels; ·Being a steward of the company's reputation and brand; ·Being a trusted adviser on communications issues to the European Management team; ·Being the Deputy to the Group Marketing and Communications Director; ·Providing a proactive and reactive press office service for Europe; ·Working with our retained communication agencies; ·Managing the Marketing Communications Team (including Marketing and Communications Specialist, Marketing and Comms Coordinator and a Corporate Communications Specialist).
The Candidate Profile:
·Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or a related field; ·At least 10 years' experience within the financial services industry - wealth management, private banking or insurance would be very beneficial; ·Proven skills, knowledge and experience in the design, coordinate and execution of marketing and PR campaigns; ·Experience in working in media and corporate reputation; ·Experience in working at senior level and cross functions with the ability to manage teams, to influence and to take initiative; ·Strong project management skills and ability to manage budget within defined limits; ·A team player with a creative and solutions-oriented mindset to problem-solving; ·Excellent oral and written communication skills; ·Native or fluent English speaker; French or any other European languages would be an asset; ·The ability to work in a high pressure environment and with tight deadlines; ·Highly IT literate; ·Highly experienced in working in media and corporate reputation; ·Experience in managing b2b Financial Services media campaigns; ·Experience in social media, including LinkedIn, Twitter and YouTube; ·Strong commercial business and market awareness, ability to apply commercial commentary to business decisions; ·Proven copywriting expertise; ·Sound decision maker and negotiator; ·High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
