The WW Marketing Manager – Molecular Solutions is responsible for developing and driving workflow optimization, market development and implementation strategies across MDx platforms. This associate is directly responsible for designing studies associated with current laboratory processes (competitive), simulation models incorporating sample volumes, arrival times, etc. to identify Next Gen configurations and process and Total Cost in Use (TCO) models, working closely with Global Marketing team. The manager is responsible for achieving global strategic and financial performance through comprehensive and timely market development, marketing and product strategy development and execution as well as innovation and business development activities. Responsibilities also include Regional support such as training, collateral development and trade shows/seminars relating to platform.
Develops/maintains a clear understanding of current markets, competitive offerings, vision of expected market evolution as it relates to MDx and Infectious Disease with an understanding of the implications on customer needs. This includes assessments for existing products, and existing and new applications.
Works closely with Healthcare Economics team to develop models and incorporate lean programs and simulations that will drive primary demand for the Next Gen Molecular platform.
Proactively develops and executes competitive strategies based on competitive intelligence and appropriate market research and analysis, particularly as it relates to pre-launch activities for new assays or product enhancements.
Manages and drives market development activities including developing external relationships with key opinion leaders in the laboratory, public health, hospital, lean and other appropriate areas related to platform usage and adoption.
Works with regional sales and marketing teams to align global platform plans in each region and define and track regional implementation/rollout plans. Supports Regional Solutions Managers in the Next Gen launch in working with early evaluations, targeted accounts and reference sites.
Provides real-time support to sales specialists in all regions, and act as an interface between sales and R&D, as appropriate, to assess technical issues or opportunities.
Ensure presence and participation at high-priority conferences, meetings, etc. and drive appropriate publications to support defined platform value propositions.
Organizes and communicates technical and clinical data and publications as part of sales, marketing, Public Relations and market development activities.
Supports the Global Product Development System (GPDS) process as an extended core team member (CTM) for the project as well as participates on the Global Commercialization Team.
Effectively partners and collaborates with regional marketing leaders, R&D, Clinical and Scientific Affairs, Business Development and other functions to ensure appropriate inputs into portfolio and marketing strategy.
Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
BA/BS degree required, preferably within a technical area of focus; Four year scientific or engineering degree preferred. MBA preferred.
Five (7+) years of experience in worldwide strategic marketing, global marketing and product management in life science companies with a focus on platform development and commercial launch. Certified in lean/six sigma with experience in simulations and models supporting process and workflow optimization.
Strong demonstrated background in Molecular Diagnostics and Infectious Diseases.
Action oriented with the ability to drive results.
Demonstrated skills in development and execution of successful new product launch plans that have provided rapid, global, market penetration and uptake in fast moving, competitive markets.
