The American Society of Nephrology seeks an individual with significant experience in marketing, copy writing, and databases to serve in the role of Marketing Specialist. The candidate selected for this position will oversee multiple projects under the leadership of ASN Director of Marketing.
Qualified candidates will:
Possess proven writing, analytical, and project management skills. The Marketing Specialist will draft promotional copy based upon coordination with staff members representing departments across the entire ASN enterprise.
Demonstrate success editing communications content from a variety of departments to enhance promotion, appeal to target audiences and comply with ASN brand and style guidelines. (Writing samples required.)
Contribute content ideas during the editorial process.
Work collaboratively to identify communication vehicles and platforms for distribution and dissemination of promotions across the ASN enterprise.
Create marketing materials for all ASN products and events in consultation with staff.
Prepare marketing reports and analyze that reflect analytics across all of ASN channels, and help ASN develop better approaches to diversifying channels, segmenting broadcast emails, and a comprehensive way to evaluate success (or lack thereof) of all promotional channels.
Manage multiple and shifting deadlines as well as occasional changes in priorities within a fast-paced environment.
Keep multiple projects moving forward, and communicate any changes that affect timelines or execution of projects.
Manage production of ASN print and digital house ads promoting programs, services and member benefits.
Collaborate with subject matter experts across the association to ensure customer segments, products and services are presented accurately and consistently while being compelling and engaging.
Regularly update marketing copy on ASN website and assist in monitoring the presentation of website content so that it is consistent and meets ASN standards.
Arrange logistics/administration/vendor selection of videos recorded in the DC office when needed.
Manage vendor relations, including creating specifications, assessing bids, negotiating pricing, awarding contracts, establishing and meeting production timelines, evaluating proofs/press checks, monitoring workflow, overseeing production, and coordinating delivery/mailings.
5 years of related experience
Exceptional verbal, writing, proofreading, and editing skills;
Superior organizational skills and attention to detail;
Collaborative style to work effectively with volunteer members and leaders, colleagues, and other departments
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven department, managing multiple tasks and changing priorities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
