The Marketing Manager, Online will advance the institution's online enrollment growth efforts through the successful execution of digital marketing communications. The Marketing Manager supports the Director of Marketing and VP of Marketing and Communications in a variety of ways, including oversight, execution and assessment of online engagement campaigns aimed at prospective students, their families and influencers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
Manage online campaigns for Undergraduate & Graduate marketing initiatives including the execution, reporting and optimization.
Effectively track and measure campaign success and ROI through regular monitoring of data through the entire enrollment funnel; from lead generation and nurturing through enrollment.
Regularly seek improvement in the various online marketing initiatives via innovation, implementation of best practices and testing.
Oversee website content to maximize SEO and look to build upon SEM initiatives.
Help develop and oversee tests to determine best creative copy, landing experience and bidding strategies to maximize click-through and conversion.
Build and execute online communication flows, including timing, from prospect through enroll.
Monitor click and lead quality driven by the paid search channel.
Analyze and resolve search engine and pay-per-click issues and needs including keyword target lists, traffic quality and optimization of click-through and conversion rates.
Day-to-day operational responsibility for paid search; leverage analytics to optimize online media spend.
Collaborate with marketing team to effectively manage the budget and timeline; manage the online media budget with a focus on optimizing the spend towards agreed upon goals.
Collaborate with people at all levels within different departments (Admissions, Marketing, IT etc.) and teams to facilitate projects; partner with the Director of Online Admissions and Online Operations Manager to ensure the meeting of enrollment goals; partner with the Director of Retention and Student Success to maintain positive experience for current students.
Work closely with the digital agency to ensure goals are being achieved; monitor project timelines to ensure all project initiatives are accomplished on time.
Build and maintain relationships with external college partners and manage marketing vendors (creative teams, agencies, print production, video, etc.).
REQUIREMENTS: The person selected will have the following qualifications:
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Demonstrated strong online and social media knowledge
Minimum of six years of digital marketing experience with focus on SEO/SEM.
Degree in marketing, communication, journalism, or related field preferred
Digital agency account management experience preferred.
Higher Ed experience a plus.
