The Ambulatory Surgery Center Association (ASCA) is seeking a collaborative, creative and results-driven Marketing Coordinator to assist in implementing comprehensive marketing campaigns that promote the organization’s programs, products and services. This position requires strong writing and editing skills, including an ability to translate complex concepts into easily absorbed messaging. The successful candidate must be able to manage multiple long- and short-term projects simultaneously and to apply best practices in online marketing and communications. The Marketing Coordinator should also have an eye for graphic design and the skills and work ethic required to provide the hands-on support involved in accomplishing these goals. The Marketing Coordinator will report to the Associate Director of Marketing.
Write, design and send marketing emails that promote ASCA’s programs, products and services
Write News Digest briefs and marketing items for ASCA’s weekly Government Affairs email updates
Manage ASCA’s social media accounts on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, and propose the use of new platforms or increased activity as necessary
Write departmental features about ASCA’s programs, products and services for ASC Focus, ASCA’s monthly magazine
Assist the Associate Director of Marketing with the management of organization-wide marketing calendars, strategies and priorities
Assist the Associate Director of Marketing with reviewing marketing communications and materials to ensure accuracy and consistency of branding and marketing content
Assist with designing print and digital marketing collateral, including website rotators and graphics, flyers, magazine ads, brochures and PowerPoint templates that adhere to ASCA's style guide and maintain brand identity and consistency
Create and manage webpage content as needed
Assist the Communications Director with the creation and distribution of print and digital communications as needed
Participate in a cross-departmental Marketing Team
Participate on ASCA’s Affinity Partner Team
Participate on website development teams
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Successful candidate will be a detail-oriented, energetic self-starter who possesses excellent organizational and communications skills and the ability to work productively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Strong writing and editing skills, especially in translating complex concepts into simple text that can be targeted to multiple audiences
Expertise in developing and managing web, email and social media content
Experience with email marketing platforms and business uses of social media
Familiarity with HTML and content management systems
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator) strongly preferred
Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team, and to balance multiple competing priorities
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
Tech savvy and able to pick up new tools quickly
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Work experience in marketing, communications, journalism or a related field
Experience working with nonprofits, associations and/or in the health care industry preferred, but not required
