We are currently in search of a Vice President of Marketing for an Association. The position is based in Northern Chicagoland. This is a permanent, full-time position.

The Vice President of Marketing will develop and implement global marketing communications plans that drive the demand for the association’s products and services. This position is responsible for the overall management of the association’s Marketing and Communications department with an emphasis on digital marketing and social media presence.

Our Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience as VP of Marketing, Marketing Director or another senior role
Minimum of 10 years of experience in Marketing Communications, Association experience preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience managing a Marketing Communications team
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications or related field required, Master’s preferred
Global experience preferred
Travel requirements - This position may also be required to attend the association’s annual trade show for a week which will consist of travel and overnight stay.
Strong business analytics, relationship management, strategy development, project management, problem solving and change management skills
Business related computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office
Familiarity with Adobe design software such as Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Dreamweaver
Experience using project management software such as Smartsheet or Asana, a plus
How You Will Spend Your Day:
Direct the development and execution of global marketing communications initiatives including trade shows, campaigns, social site presence, company website, public relations, internal communication, regulatory communications and corporate events
Establish, own and drive a strategic internal and external communications strategy that positively affects employees’ and member’s understanding, engagement and commitment with the result of an even stronger connection to the association and leads to a return on investment
Manage brand delivery and consistency across all marketing for all divisions
Build and manage corporate communications budget
Determine projects which should be completed internally and externally
Manage relationships with outside vendors as necessary
Drive continual process improvements and implement best practices to manage projects efficiently
Collaborate closely with all department across the organization
Be the driving force in the development of work ethic, culture and values of the Marketing Department
