The Waldorf School of Lexington, now in its 48th year, is seeking a Director of Marketing & Communications to begin January 7, 2019. This is a full-time, 12-month salaried position, although a flexible schedule may be considered. Salary is commensurate with experience.
The successful candidate will be a strategic partner to the school director and the administrative team and lead all marketing and communications initiatives consistent with our school’s Waldorf philosophy and strategic plan objectives. She or he will highlight our distinctive curriculum, pedagogy, teaching methods, and other key differentiators with internal and external audiences. She or he will be responsible for all marketing activities, internal communications to parents and external communications to prospective parents, including print, digital, website, and social media platforms, while maintaining consistent brand management, positioning, and messaging. This positions reports to the School Director; provides support for the Directors of Finance & Operations, Admissions, and Development; and supervises one Marketing Specialist.

BA (required), MA (a plus)
3+ years of experience in marketing and communication
Positive, engaging, and outgoing personality
Strategic insight into marketing in today’s competitive independent school market
Experience with social media and online marketing
Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse constituents
Experience with video production and editing is a plus
Adobe InDesign and Photoshop
Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Basic knowledge of HTML
