Essential Job Duties:
The Marketing Communication Specialist position serves as one of four project managers within the Campus Enterprises Marketing Department. It is supported by a Director of Marketing as well as a Graphic Design team and student interns who assist with graphic design, social media, and event support.
This position primarily supports NC State Dining with a focus on meal plan sales and recruitment, menu marketing for a variety of retail units, and nutrition marketing support. Focus on integrated marketing communications that includes print, web, social, public relations, events/promotions, email, and public speaking.
- Provides daily support to Campus Enterprises departments; - Plans and executes the vast majority of special events; - Writes and edits newsletters; - Manages award submissions.
Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
- Strong organizational, writing, and critical thinking skills. - Demonstrated project management skills; ability to manage multiple projects in a high-volume environment. - Experience developing and implementing marketing strategies using a variety of media with an emphasis on social media.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field plus two years of experience, which may include applicable internship experience. - At least two years of combined professional and internship experience relevant to requirements for the position.
Required license or certification:
A valid North Carolina driver's license or the ability to obtain one within 60 days of start date.
