The Vice President of Sales and Marketing is to coordinate and direct all sales and top line revenue activity taking place in the company.
Essential Job Functions •Maximize customer satisfaction and overall profitability of hotels by directing revenue generating activities in accordance with the Marketing Plan. •Coordinates service activities related to the sales function in accordance with the standards of JHM hotels •Achieves revenue goals by developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies •Develops annual sales goals for sales staff which support achievement of the budget; monitors achievement of those goals and implements alternative strategies as necessary to achieve revenue and room night goals •Achieves company sales goals by supervising sales staff; Maximizes sales productivity by ensuring that sales staff utilize productive, contemporary, sales techniques •Increases sales volume and profitability by formulating and executing projects for all market areas as stated in the Hotel Marketing Plan •Meets and exceeds the expectations of the employees by utilizing leadership skills and motivation techniques in order to maximize employee productivity and satisfaction of direct reports •Meets and exceeds customer expectations by ensuring department provides service, teamwork and exemplary sales skills. •Participates in solving problems as required related to business booked in the hotel including space conflicts, threatened cancellations, and compromises between customer needs and hotel facilities. Further participates with other departments at the corporate level in solving conflicts between departments. •Enhances JHM Hotels community image and stays abreast of competition, new developments, and sales methods and techniques in the hotel industry •Prepares reports as necessary to develop a more informative data base for improved management decision making and critical evaluation of work activities. •Manages JHM’s sales resource library •Conduct sales market assessment for possible hotel acquisitions and / or construction.

Experience/Education College degree in Business, Marketing or related field, MBA preferred; 10+ years’ experience in Sales/Marketing in a management or supervisory position. Major Hotel Brand experience is required in both full and select service segments.
Additional Salary Information: Bonus potential is 30% of annual salary
