POSITION: ArtCore is seeking a mission-focused Marketing and Communications Coordinator, responsible for creating and executing a comprehensive communications/marketing plan to enhance the profile of the ArtCore collaboration and its partner organization’s programs and events. The main job functions include, but are not limited to:increasing visibility of programs and their impact; providing meaningful and regular communication to donors and the multiple stakeholders with whom we work; and promoting and providing customer service, sales and database maintenance for various special events. The Marketing and Communication Coordinator will work with staff as well as external partners, including but not limited to, media sponsors, members of the press (both print and digital), this position will support the visibility of the ArtCore with all audiences. Importantly, the successful candidate will have the skills, sensitivity, and drive to promote the unique value that each member of ArtCore brings to the partnership and their audiences. The Coordinator is part of a diverse team that the serves a multi-faceted non-profit sector throughout Chicago.
Duties and Responsibilities - • Assist in implementing the communications cycle for all programs and events, including e-mail campaigns • Create and manage e-newsletter content and maintain distribution lists • Update and maintain various websites • Implement and manage social networking plan and initiatives across various platforms including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter and Instagram • Provide media relations support • Increase community awareness of all programs and events • Provide customer service for a variety of events and manage ticketing and donations for performances, fundraisers, and public events • Maintain databases and update donor/patron sales and records • Monitor and provide analytical reports on all media and promotional tools • Assist when needed in planning and coordinating logistics for event front of house • Maintain photo archives; take photos occasionally, contract and direct external photographers with leadership as required
Reports to: Managing Director of ArtCore
Qualifications • Bachelor’s Degree required, with a degree in Marketing, Communications, English or Journalism preferred • 1-3 years of related professional experience; ideally within the nonprofit sector • Experience managing traditional media and social media activities and content management systems • Salesforce experience desirable; database/CRM experience required • Proficiency with Microsoft Office • Graphic design skills/experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Email marketing software • Strong verbal and written communication skills, and able to interface with the public and provide quality customer service with donors and ticket buyers • Excellent communication and relationship building skills with an ability to work with a variety of stakeholders from three different organizations • A multi-tasker with the ability to wear many hats in a fast-paced environment, detail oriented and able to meet deadlines • Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and dedication to the missions of A&BC, CCA and AARCH
