CompTIA is currently recruiting for Manager, Public Sector & Advocacy Member Relations, this position will partner with the Public Sector and Advocacy (PSA) member relations team, to drive new member growth through acquisition and upselling of existing members within a defined territory. By managing a pipeline of prospects, the Manager will recruit and close new PSA prospects by building wide and deep executive level relationships within high profile technology companies. The Manager will also develop new sales strategies by collaborating with other groups within CompTIA.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

New Member Sales
Assumes responsibility for existing member contacts in an assigned territory.
Proactively identifies, locates, and qualifies new business leads.
Diligently creates and pursues sales leads, including leveraging other CompTIA support resources as required.
Develop pipeline of new member targets.
Identifies and defines member business needs and determines appropriate CompTIA solution.
Understands and communicates value propositions to key prospects.
Successfully and professionally delivers presentations to key prospects through face to face meetings and webinars.
Demonstrates ability to close new company memberships.
Manage new member sales process.
Collaborate internally to drive new member onboarding tasks.
Business Development & Strategy
Collaborate with member relations team to identify new member segments to develop and grow.
Generate new ideas to drive acquisition efforts.
Attend industry conferences to identify new member sales opportunities.
Manage all aspects of invoicing process for existing members.
Experience with forecasting and managing performance against goals.
Maintains an up-to-date understanding of industry trends and technical developments that affect target markets.
Stays current and knowledgeable on all CompTIA product and service offerings.
Establishes and maintains industry contacts leading to specific business opportunities.
Represents CompTIA at qualified industry meetings/events to promote CompTIA services.
Participates in membership forecasting and planning in an effective manner.
Effectively manages all prospect and member records in IMIS (membership management platform) and shares reports, update figures and activity, as required.
Thorough knowledge of the Public Sector and Public Advocacy markets.

Education and/or Experience:
5+ years of experience selling and serving members/clients in a professional services environment – knowledge of Public Sector and Public Advocacy preferred.
A track record of initiative to surpass challenging performance goals.
