Clark Retirement Community located in Grand Rapids, Michigan, is a not-for-profit retirement organization serving approximately 500 residents on two beautiful campuses, Clark on Franklin and Clark on Keller Lake. The organization offers the full continuum of care in addition to rehabilitation, hospice, and personal and certified home health services. Clark is one of three continuing care retirement communities in the state that are CARF-CCAC accredited.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the VP of Sales and Marketing will be responsible for coordinating the organization’s sales and marketing program by executing, formulating and implementing strategies to increase the dissemination of the organization’s sales, marketing and community relations. The VP will function as part of the Clark Executive Team, and will play a major role in the development and implementation of new concepts, products and innovative sales and marketing techniques/approaches.
The ideal candidate will have several years’ experience working at a high level, preferably in the VP of Sales and Marketing role in a Life Plan Community. Experience should demonstrate how they have increased and maintained high occupancy in the community or communities where they have worked. A plus would be experience opening new accommodations as part of an expansion or repositioning initiative. (S)he will have successful strategic sales experience and be knowledgeable of best practices in achieving occupancy and census goals. (S)he will be an organized, effective communicator who can speak well to individuals, or to groups, who makes a good first impression, and is empathetic toward others.
