Director of Marketing & Recruiting for the College of Professional & Graduate Studies
The Director of Marketing and Recruiting for the College of Professional & Graduate Studies manages efforts to recruit for accelerated programs that are delivered both online and face-to face, and manages a team of recruiters in doing the same to successfully meet or exceed university growth targets.
Specific Recruitment Tasks
Carry prospective students from the point of inquiry (lead) to program enrollment.
Follow-up with prospective students in a timely fashion through phone, text, email, and written communications.
Track incoming paperwork for each applicant and continuously articulate to them the next step(s).
Articulate scholarship and financial aid options to prospective students.
Articulate a student transcript review and student financial aid estimate to prospective student. Specific Director Tasks
Review applications, conduct first interviews, and make recommendations to Dean for all new recruiter candidates.
Write a recruitment manual representing best practice of online and face-to-face recruitment functions.
Provide training and weekly management for recruitment team.
Work with the Dean, and Office of business & financial Affairs on all recruitment goals, cohort plans, and new initiatives.
Work with the Dean on the quality and monthly volume goals of all online leads.
Work with Student Success and Financial Aid on all matters of service to new applicants.
Earned bachelor’s degree.
Positive attitude with high level of energy and enthusiasm.
Direct experience and strong track record of success with online recruitment.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Perceived talents/skills in effectively leading a strong recruitment team.
Ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple people/tasks.
Reporting and Collaborative Relationships
Direct report to the Dean of Professional & Graduate Studies
Collaborative relationships with:
o Southern Nazarene University Academic Deans and Program Directors
o Director of Tulsa Site o Director Faculty Resource Center
o Director of Financial Aid and all Financial Aid team members
o Director of Business Office o Customer service team at Tree of Life
This is the creation of a new position. SNU has never employed a Director of Marketing & Recruiting. SNU has approximately 1200 online and face-to-face students and plans to grow that to at least 1500 students during the next 24 months. After the ramp-up phase of year one, a reasonable recruitment goal will be established for the Director of Marketing & Recruiting and their team.
