Plan, manage and execute a comprehensive campaign to support construction and ongoing operations of American Cancer Society Hope Lodge. Responsible for building relationships with volunteers, board members, corporate representatives, foundations, and current and prospective donors, capable of 6, 7 and 8 figure gifts and soliciting from those individuals in support of a campaign to fund Hope Lodge. Market coverage includes Nashville and portions of Kentucky.
• Build relationships with volunteers, board members, corporate representatives, foundations and current and prospective donors. • Develop and manage campaign plan to execute campaign to build and operate American Cancer Society Hope Lodge in your assigned market. • Meet financial goals of the campaign within prescribed timeframe. ($10M-$30M based on project assigned over 2-5 year timeframe) • Meet annual major gift goals in support of the overall campaign goal. • Hold a minimum of 220 face-to-face visits with major gift prospects. • Submit a minimum of 24 individual, corporate and foundation proposals in a balanced portfolio. • Supporting the effective development and compliance with the Campaign packaging, pricing, and lead gifts. • Directing the stewardship of campaign major gift donors. • Supporting nationwide solicitation of corporate and foundation prospects.
Bachelor’s Degree and a 5+ year proven track record of securing $100,000+ gifts or equivalent experience. Major gift fundraising background with campaign experience preferred. Must have proven leadership and track record of success in a complex, competitive institutional initiative environment. Regular Travel also required.
• Organizing resources, establishing priorities, & building strategic constituent plans. • Superior writing skills • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills and ability to build strong relationships with divisions, NHO staff, and constituents. • Must be creative with high energy and flexible personality to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse health related environment.
Excellent oral and written communication skills are required, as is computer proficiency and experience utilizing constituent tracking and administrative systems.
Ability to travel by car daily and occasional air travel.
