The Salvation Army Southern Territory is seeking a Digital Marketing Strategist to develop and deploy an effective email marketing strategy for the world’s largest charitable organization that is “doing the most good.”
We are committed to providing programs for families and children through shelter, after school programs, ending the cycle of poverty, and programs that combat human trafficking.
The Digital Marketing Strategist will work with territorial and divisional leaders to create integrated marketing initiatives across the Southern Territory. Our overarching goal is to significantly leverage awareness of and financial support for the work of The Salvation Army, which means we can help more people!
This position will also:
Develop and implement the email marketing automation journeys and proactive social media strategies
Develop and test innovative marketing strategies to engage new audiences through audience specific tactics that engage through volunteerism, social media, online project funding and campaigns
Provide support during disasters and other special initiatives by creating customized donation pages and email campaigns
Collect data to gain insights, optimize strategies, and track success of online platforms, channels and digital marketing campaigns
Ensure fresh creative content focus is on external audience of current and potential donors and volunteers
Identify new engagement and fundraising opportunities
We are looking for candidates with a proven track record of significant success and the following skills and experience:
3-5 years’ experience running an email marketing program
3 years’ experience with content marketing
Demonstrated project management experience
2-3 years’ experience with customer engagement
Proficient use of digital marketing and social media tools such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Google Analytics, Facebook, etc.
Ability to be flexible and adaptable
Prior experience working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Passion and desire to work with a faith based organization
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or closely related field
