The Director of Marketing will create and lead the marketing team in a strategic positioning of the GKIC brand(s) in the business space and industry, the product positioning within the chosen target markets, oversee event marketing to maximize attendance and bring to market the best coaching programs available. The overarching goals of increasing membership, continuity income, product sales revenue, and event attendance will be directly correlated to maximizing the value proposition of the community GKIC serves.
Key responsibilities of the Director of Marketing will be to lead the way in five key areas: acquisition, conversion, retention, lifetime value, and referrals. It will be the Director of Marketing’s job to help lead the way strategically, work with the various players to successfully employ those strategies within a timely manner and ensure buy-in, education, and growth of all those they work with.
Specific responsibilities include market development, market research and strategies, company and product positioning, branding, competitive analysis, distribution strategies, pricing strategies, marketing communications, events/trade-shows, promotions and advertising, coordination with sales, and hiring and directing the day-to-day activities of marketing staff.

Plan and develop a marketing strategy in alignment and agreement with the executive team.
Develop annual marketing plans and budgets, to support the marketing strategy, identifying effective marketing tactics.
Ensuring there is an ongoing program to understand key member, client needs and developing a market research plan.
Developing and managing a marketing team capable of carrying out the necessary marketing strategies and tactics and ensure resource allocation is aligned with business objectives and priorities.

Determine and measure ROI and track pipeline and revenue of all marketing activities
Participates fully in professional societies, industry groups and activities related to GKIC related fields and the marketing profession in general.
Develop and oversee lead, customer and members acquisition strategies through a variety of online and offline campaigns and use market synergies to reduce cost of acquisition.
Work to maximize lead and customer conversion of online and offline leads by creating an engaging, entertaining and valuable user experience.
Drive value proposition of all levels of GKIC membership in order to increase growth and retention of members to all monthly publications.
Increase customer lifetime value by working with product development, editorial content, sales and support to create an unparalleled value proposition for GKIC’s target market and increase repeat sales and continuity income.
Maximize referrals by proactively creating opportunities for members, partners, affiliates and CMMA’s to:

Look for opportunities to positively engage others about the GKIC value proposition
Have the necessary tools to become an unpaid sales force and drive like-minded members to GKIC
Lead a team of “dreamers and doers” in charge of deploying the GKIC vision and mission to the marketplace and be the dominant provider or products, services, coaching and success provider to the small business community
Constantly search for new synergies within GKIC and outside partners and vendors and engage in mutually beneficial relationships that drive growth
Be the energy source, glue, cheerleader and coach for a creative, positive, challenging, hard working, fun and driven team of marketing professionals who share a common set of long-term goals measured by short-term successes
