Marketing Coordinator promotes events for the office of Inclusion and Diversity such as FWCA, BCI, EVT, #VTUnfinished, MLK week, and the Native American Summit, and advertises diversity events for other campus organizations. Responsibilities of this position include maintaining social media presence such as Facebook pages, Twitter, and Instagram, writing press releases and open letters to the community, editing videos and uploading to YouTube, photographing events, and writing newsletters at the end of each semester.
- BA degree in Communications or related field, or equivalent training and/or experience. - Experience such as communications and social media strategy. - Photography and video editing experience. - Knowledge of Google Drive and Microsoft Office. - Strong interpersonal, communication and writing skills. - Must be able interact comfortably and respectfully with all individuals in a diverse, multicultural environment.
