The Marketing Manager provides day-to-day leadership in the development of strategy, tactical plans and program evaluation for a portfolio of products and services within the Society. The Marketing Manager functions as a day-to-day liaison, working directly with internal business owners in ensuring that the Society’s marketing activities are designed to meet their business objectives.
The ideal candidate possesses demonstrated ability to grow and foster positive relationships with key stakeholders/business owners, provide strategic direction, manage multiple projects within agreed upon timelines, write creative, persuasive promotional copy for both print and digital executions and maintain exceptional quality control. Experience in creating strategic marketing plans and facilitating execution is key to success.
DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Provide strategic direction, tactical design and execution and data analysis of all activity for business areas of responsibility, ensuring that programs meet the objectives of the organization’s internal clients.
Create compelling promotional copy designed to both promote and inform.
Update and maintain web content.
Develop and engage new audiences and increase existing audiences.
Facilitate cross departmental collaboration by:
Facilitating project kick-offs, briefing documents and other background materials
Managing the marketing budgets for projects within areas of responsibility
Developing project schedules and updating timings as appropriate
Ensuring timely review of collateral material
Leading project presentations and status meetings as needed/requested
Ensure proper documentation of account activity by:
Preparing periodic progress reports and tracking results
Communicating relevant information to all team members verbally and in writing
Maintaining documentation in electronic project management via internal marketing project forms
Maintain an ongoing knowledge base of best practices in marketing methodology/philosophy as a means toward generating ongoing innovation in departmental activities.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or other related field
3 to 5 years of marketing project management experience in an agency, association or healthcare organization; includes, but is not limited to, membership organization experience
Strong, proactive project management and organizational skills
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to build positive relationships, teams and consensus
Proven problem-solving skills, including the ability to “think outside the box”
Strong verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to listen effectively
Strong, versatile writer with experience in varied promotional media
