Director of Marketing LSU Athletics Louisiana State University
95% Oversees and manages the day-to-day operations and staff of the LSU athletic marketing office; Plans, coordinates, and implements marketing and promotion activities to insure integration with ticket sales and brand strategies; Coordinates and assists the marketing staff in the annual development and implementation of comprehensive marketing and promotional plans to maximize ticket revenue and attendance at all LSU Athletic events; Primary manager of the marketing and promotional efforts for football, men's basketball, gymnastics and special events; Coordinates with the Social Media Coordinator and the Executive Director of creative services for brand and advertising strategies; Manages the graduate assistant and student intern staff; Oversees the planning and tracking of the office budget operations.
5% Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sports Management, Recreation Management, Communications or related field; Five years of professional experience in marketing, advertising and/or communications; prior supervisory experience; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Posses a demonstrated knowledge of marketing techniques and strategies, excellent computer skills, the ability to perform detail-oriented yet creative work and willing to handle multiple assignments; Strong Customer service orientation.
Prior experience working with a NCAA Division I athletic program or professional sports team; Understanding of NCAA rules and regulations. Special Qualifications:
Ability to work extended days, weekends and holidays.
