This position is responsible for:
Serving as primary office communications manager for the office web site, innovation blog, social media, press, trade show, Technology Development Fund and other marketing materials.
Managing and creating new content related to hospital technologies and research innovations
Coordinating communication with other hospital departments about hospital research, innovation.
Managing TIDO's outreach and networking effort, including creating events, education seminars, and other outreach activities
Managing communication and marketing strategies to increase the interest in and visibility of hospital research and innovations.
Assisting TIDO staff in licensing, business development and technology development effort.
To qualify, you must have:
Experience and knowledge of marketing theories, principles, and concepts typically acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree in marketing or related field.
A minimum of one year of marketing communications experience in the scientific research or life sciences industry.
Experience and understanding of academic research, academic medical centers, and the life science and medical device industries.
Experience and the ability to effectively manage multiple marketing communications projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communications skillsverbal and writtenand ability/agility working with people at various levels.
The ability to manage conflicting views or issues, and mediating fair and workable solutions.
Understanding and experience in website designs, social media activities, and the ability to use a variety of graphic design software.
The Marketing and Communication Specialist is responsible for managing communication and marketing of hospital technologies, intellectual property and research opportunities. This position will handle the production of communication materials such as newsletters, reports, website, social media postings and manage various internal and external event and activities. This position will work to increase communication with hospital researchers and staff and external companies and industry partners. The position is also responsible for the development, maintenance and updating of TIDO website and social media presence, creating content about BCH research and licensing opportunities, and communicate with internal and external stakeholders about technology commercialization. This position is also responsible for planning and hosting networking, education and training events for BCH, and liaises with external organizations in event planning and hosting.
