The Assistant Marketing Manager is responsible for executing marketing tactics for degree programs and initiatives to drive enrollment for Northeastern's portfolio of professional degree programs in the San Francisco Bay Area. Tactics will support annual lead, application and enrollment goals and contribute to the overall success of Northeastern University and its programs. The Assistant Marketing Manager works under the guidance of the Marketing Manager, collaborating with the rest of Enrollment Marketing, Admissions and Recruiting, Customer Experience and members of academic teams to meet goals for assigned projects.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Define marketing strategy, messaging, positioning, and tactical plans for select degree programs, sectors, audiences and initiatives within Northeastern University's professional degree programs.
Manage execution of a wide array of marketing tactics through effective project management skills
Utilize marketing automation tool (Marketo) and CRM (Salesforce) to attract and nurture prospective students through the enrollment process
Assist in effectively tracking and measuring campaign success through regular monitoring and reporting of data through the entire enrollment funnel; from lead generation and nurturing through enrollment
Work collaboratively with Enrollment Marketing team to ensure that all marketing reflects consistent and timely on-brand messages
Build and maintain relationships with internal and external university partners
Collaborate with marketing team and utilize relevant systems to effectively manage the budget for assigned degree programs, sectors and initiatives.
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or related field with minimum of 2 years of experience in marketing and communications (or experience in a related discipline with transferable skills). Experience in higher education preferred. Demonstrated success in executing against a marketing plan. Flexible, creative thinker open to new ideas and changing priorities within a very fast-paced organization. Strong project management skills with excellent attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Propensity to think both strategically and analytically is a plus. Experience working with a marketing automation tool and customer relationship management system (CRM) a plus.
