CCE of Columbia & Greene Counties is seeking a part time (21 hours/week) qualified and experienced incumbent responsible for providing general administrative, marketing, social media and website assistance for the Cornell Cooperative Extension (CCE) of Columbia and Greene Counties, for community based programs that provide education, services, resources and referrals to residents of the counties.
This position also provides administrative support of related Association programs, including special projects and grants. Position Responsibilities & Essential FunctionsCoordination/Operation - 95% - Update the Association's website, including the postings of PDFs, photos and videos. Also track website statistics (hits, etc.)
- Coordinate with the managers and program staff to create and maintain Association social media (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) posts and website updates.
- Draft routine news releases promoting Association events and programs for Sr. Administrator's review, then distribute to media contacts.
- Draft routine marketing materials such as flyers, newsletters, promotional displays.
- Draft radio spots to promote upcoming programs and recording as well.
- Assist in the coordination and staffing of special events, such as fundraising events and fairs.
- Maintain, as well as increase, the Association's email subscriber list.
- Maintain an inventory of promotional materials ready for staff to use.
- Provide IT support to the Sr. Administrator position.
- Coordinate the compilation of the quarterly program listings.
- Contact local artists to display artwork in the Acra conference room. Work with the artists on installation. Coordinate and staff quarterly artist receptions.
- Provide office backup to administrative assistants (in both Hudson and Acra) when needed to answer phones, greet visitors.
- Prepare /type reports and letters in a timely manner, document and program resource collating & copying, filing, faxing, and computer work.
- On a regular basis transports self, also frequently lifting, moving and/or transporting program materials and resources to community-based settings.
- Coordinate participant referral system and report recruitment efforts. Make referrals on a daily basis for a variety of needs for the community, agencies, churches, school district, government and individuals.
- Assist the Supervisor with coordinating outreach meetings; and help participants make connections (including referrals) to other Extension programs and community resources.
- Take registrations for educational programs as needed.
- Prepare mailings as program requires. Maintain a working knowledge of postal mail regulations.
Professional Improvement - 5% - In cooperation with Supervisor and/or Executive Director, jointly develop and pursue a professional development plan as a means to increase competencies relative to position accountabilities and to address changes and Association priorities.
- Collaborate in activities that are in general support of Cornell Cooperative Extension and perform other duties as assigned.
