Advertised Summary Job Description: Reporting to the Administrative Director - Program and Scientific Strategy - HICCC, the Associate Director for Communications & Marketing will develop and implement a communication and marketing plan for HICCC. General Minimum Qualifications: Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus five years of related experience. Additional Specific Minimum Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of relevant experience, which includes at least 7 years of marketing experience, preferably in scientific fields. Advanced degree highly desirable. Must have demonstrated strong strategic planning and implementation skills; ability to communicate effectively; superior communications, written and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of current technology and application of ever-changing digital and social media communications strategies extremely desirable. As a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the Council of Ivy Group Presidents (Ivy League), it is imperative that members of the Columbia University community, in all matters related to the intercollegiate athletics program, exhibit the highest professional standards and ethical behavior with regard to adherence to NCAA, Conference, University, and Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and Physical Education rules and regulations.
