The George Mason University School of Business has an opportunity for a Visiting Faculty appointment to teach Marketing. The position will start Fall 2019 and the appointment will be for one academic year. Salary will be commensurate with experience and level.

Responsibilities: Responsibilities include teaching various marketing courses in the undergraduate and graduate programs; and service to the Marketing Area, the School of Business, the University and the profession, such as student mentoring, committee membership, and interfacing with the business community. The standard teaching load for this position is 18 credits per year (typically 3:3) as determined according to the School's workload policy.
Ph.D. in marketing or closely related discipline
Ability to effectively teach undergraduate and/or graduate marketing courses
Good citizenship is critical as is the ability to work well with colleagues.
Credentials that enable the candidate to teach a wide variety of courses among both the core and elective marketing courses in the undergraduate marketing major; and
Ability to teach core and specialized marketing courses in the graduate programs.
Record of publishing in quality academic journals
Marketing Area: The Marketing Area is a vibrant, ambitious and collegial community that highly values excellence in research, teaching, and service. We currently have seven tenure-track and three term faculty members in the area. Our Area conducts managerially relevant research using a variety of methodologies. Research is highly valued in the area and at the school. The Marketing Area faculty have published in many of the premier journals including Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Marketing, Marketing Science, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Retailing, Journal of Operations Management, and Academy of Management Journal, as well as many other top journals. Our faculty have many diverse teaching interests. The Area seeks to continue developing innovative courses in all aspects of marketing. The Marketing Area teaching faculty have won awards within the School, at the University and in outside organizations for excellence in teaching and contributions to teaching. Within the Area, the School and the University, there are opportunities to develop teaching skills and use new methodologies and approaches.
