The Vice President for Enrollment Management and Marketing is the chief enrollment and marketing officer for the university. This Cabinet level executive provides spiritual guidance, leadership, strategy and innovation to the area of enrollment management and marketing for the on-campus and online degree programs with a strong focus in successful online student recruiting practices. The Vice President provides forward-thinking leadership for a far-reaching enrollment management and marketing strategy that is aggressive, innovative and data informed. This position is a regular, full-time, exempt position, reporting directly to the President. The university is looking to fill this position as soon as possible.
This position directs all aspects of the university’s enrollment management philosophy, methodology, training, and marketing in collaboration with other university leaders and key stakeholders. The Vice President provides insightful advice in regard to future trends in enrollment and marketing. This position helps identify and develops high quality and relevant print and electronic marketing resources aimed at promoting the university and developing brand awareness.
Hire, train, supervise and support a wide variety of mission-driven, high-level enrollment team members including Directors, Assistant Directors, Coordinators and Counselors.
Mentor direct reports and develop a culture of support, accountability and collaboration.
Work with various leaders across campus to develop annual recruitment and marketing strategic plans aligning with the overall strategic plan and faith-filled community goals for the university.
Prepare and allocate budget resources in a fiscally responsible manner.
Attend and often preside over a wide variety of meetings and progressive planning sessions.
Actively participate in Cabinet meetings as well as meet with members of the university individually to increase their active involvement in enrollment and marketing efforts.
Research and respond to enrollment and marketing trends impacting higher education.
Work collaboratively with university leaders in the development and tracking of enrollment projections and net tuition revenue models for budgeting purposes.
Manage external third party relationships designated to provide enrollment and marketing support for the university as part of the overall recruitment and marketing strategy.
Hire, train, supervise and support a marketing team including a Director of Communications, Director of Digital Marketing and Graphic Designers.
Review and assess key marketing performance indicators in collaboration with the selected external marketing agency.
Lead the development of communications and promotional materials that highlight university programming and successful outcomes related to academics, student life and student outcomes.
Identify and present strategic partnerships for consideration that align with enrollment priorities and desired growth initiatives.
Prepare and present enrollment reports indicating historic trends and future projections.
Represent the university at external events and denominational functions.
Assist the President with special projects as needed.
A master’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant enrollment and marketing experience is required; 10 years of experience is preferred.
Demonstrated experience in enrollment management or managing successful sales teams.
A personal and professional ethic of initiative and productivity. The Vice President must be able to work effectively with key stakeholders internally and externally.
Ability to maximize the use of technology in daily operations and in achieving strategic goals. The ideal candidate will be familiar, or have an ability to quickly gain proficiency with integrated database management systems and CRM software. The candidate will have a high level of comfort with web-based, mobile, and PC applications including but not limited to the use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point). Experience and understanding of Google Analytics and other digital advertising metrics is helpful.

Physical/Environmental Requirements. Visual acuity necessary to do editorial work, proof documents, and manage files. Most administrative positions will require a sedentary to light level of physical ability as well as an interior environment. May require infrequent lifting of objects up to 10 pounds, and occasionally items up to 20 pounds. Travel or work outside of regular work schedule for special events or presentations.
