About the Opportunity: The Marketing and Communications Manager leads GEO's Marketing and Outreach Team and is responsible for creating, deploying, tracking and measuring GEO's data-driven marketing strategy. MCM identifies and implements multichannel marketing campaigns, ensures their correct execution, and analyzes the results to further inform marketing strategy. This position works closely with other units in the Chancellor's Office and throughout the university, such as External Affairs and Enrollment Management, to ensure marketing and branding synergies. The position is responsible for strengthening the brand, raising visibility of global learning and recognition of GEO's voice through creative story-telling, and developing consistent audience-appropriate communication practices and messages within and beyond the institution. The position achieves these goals through a combination of digital and traditional outreach methods, publications, campaigns and events.

Bachelor's degree in and 4-6 years of progressively responsible relevant experience
Demonstrated success in the development and implementation of marketing strategies.
High degree of proficiency with internet and desktop software, Google Analytics, and internet marketing and advertising tools. Sophisticated experience with Excel required.
Creativity, including evidence of devising effective digital assets, digital campaigns, and web presence.
Experience in social media, including (but not limited to), content development, community management, influencer marketing, emerging technologies
Experience with website design, user experience and architecture, and SEO strategy development;
Familiarity with content management systems and exposure to marketing automation systems and CRM systems a plus.
Excellent interpersonal, diplomatic, and intercultural communications skills - written and oral; proven ability to communicate technical strategies clearly and effectively.
Strong project management skills and ability to manage stakeholder expectations.
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to change.
Demonstrated experience as an innovative thinker/problem-solver.
Ability to collaborate and thrive in a cross-functional team environment.
Ability to proactively gain external industry knowledge and continued learning.
Experience of working in higher education a plus.
